Modern course, desired competences
This course of study was designed in response to the demand from the high-tech labor market. The program of the course was adjusted to the needs of the modern industries while keeping high level of education standards, stepping up to the requirements of the IT companies.
Graduating form the course of Electronics allows to find employment in the electronic and telecommunication industries (design, testing and diagnosing electronic systems in automotive, medicine, factory production, data centers) and companies that offer telecommunication services, including multimedia and mobile communication. A significant part of the graduates also become well regarded software engineers (e.g. in embedded systems). This is also a great starting point for a scientific career.

This course of study prepares the students to a broad range of engineering and scientific activities in the field of electronics and communications. It is conducted at the bachelor and master level in both Polish and English language.
From many years the course in Electronics and Telecommunications is very popular among the students, and the graduates are highly valued in the labor market, finding attractive employment in ICT industry, telecommunication and IT service providers, various companies designing and deploying computer networks as well as software development firms. Part of the graduates also find work in companies producing hardware for corporate networking, automation systems and robotics, sensor and control devices, medical applications as well as small and big companies offering new telecommunication related services, including multimedia and wireless communication.

Postgraduate studies, effective way to increase professional qualification
Weekend studies devoted mostly for:
- teachers of the technician level schools that wish to update their knowledge in the field of electronics and acquire skills required by the Ordinance of the Minister of National Education dated 7th of February 2012 concerning the core curriculum for vocational education.
- graduates of the bachelor level courses in Electronics, Electronics and Telecommunications, Telecommunications, Information and communication technology that wish to update their knowledge in the field of electronics
The students of this course acquire an up-to-date theoretical knowledge and practical skills desired in the labor market to design and develop circuits, devices and electronics systems.
Scientific circles
Realization of own, often ambitious projects
The AGH University hosts over 120 student scientific circles. It is a well organized and dynamic academic movement. Participation in the scientific circle activities is an important extension to the didactic process realized during the course of studies, especially in the scope of practical application of theoretical knowledge. The Department of Electronics looks after several scientific circles, mainly KNE (www.kne.agh.edu.pl) and Spectrum.
The activities undertaken by the students of the scientific circles focus on design, implementation and practical verification of projects connecting three disciplines: electronics, telecommunications and computer science. The AGH University provides a special mechanism called rectorial grants, that allow to finance the scientific and educational projects proposed by the scientific circles.
